Intensive Career Development for Military Spouses

Amplify is a free career development program that empowers military spouses and equips them with essential skills and resources for professional growth.

What to Expect

Amplify attendees are given tools, resources, and an expanded network to support their career growth. Following 1.5 days of professional development, Amplify participants will apply their new career tools during a hiring event with Hiring Our Heroes and dozens of local and national employers.

All military spouse are eligible to attend; registration and confirmation are required. Early registration is recommended for both in-person and virtual Amplify events as space is limited. After registering, attendees will receive program instructions via email.

Program Details

Attendees spend two days in career development workshops and interactive sessions. Event content includes resume building, interviewing skills, LinkedIn, compensation negotiation, and strategic networking. Amplify is offered in-person and virtually.

  • In-Person Amplify Events:
    Participate in career development workshops and interactive sessions, receive a complimentary professional headshot, engage with local military organizations and area employers, gain access to local resources, volunteer opportunities, and upcoming events, network with fellow military spouses, attend a Hiring Our Heroes’ hiring event immediately following Amplify.
  • Virtual Amplify Events:
    Engage with employers and military organizations, gain access to nationwide resources, volunteer and employment opportunities, and information regarding upcoming events, network with fellow military spouses.

Amplify events are intended for military spouses. Hiring Our Heroes defines a military spouse as any person whose career has been impacted by military service. This term includes veteran spouses, Gold Star spouses, active-duty spouses, Reserve spouses, National Guard spouses, domestic partners, and caregivers.

No, you do not need to register separately. Your registration for an in-person Amplify event includes registration and access to the hiring event.
Amplify is designed to support applicants in their current employment phase. The Amplify team reviews resumes prior to an Amplify event and will assist with submitted resumes during the event itself.
No, we do not record our workshops to protect the privacy of our Amplify attendees.
In order to receive the full benefits of an Amplify event, we require two-day attendance. However, we understand military spaces have many priorities and schedules can change unexpectedly. Email the Amplify team at HOHAmplify@uschamber.com with any updates to your attendance.
